The origin story of Your Local Vamp Studios is as follows:

At a young age, Blaire Alex Angel had a passion for making movies with her friends. Her friends, not so much. Nevertheless, they agreed. This helped to ignite the flame of filmmaking that eventually spawned, what we know now as, Your Local Vamp Studios. For years, the founder and co-president, Blaire Alex Angel(A.K.A. The Vamp), worked making short films, music videos, and passion projects, while doing photography and videography for live events to give performers material that could show off their skills and help them land new gigs. She did this all alone…
Until… 3, or… 4… some odd years ago, she met Jordan Clemens(A.K.A. Curlz), and they hit it off like a couple of bats who like the same movies, or something. Having met at a variety show held in a comedy club, it was the perfect breeding ground for best friendships to develop between a couple silly geese. Over time, they would learn about their mutual love of movies, prompting Blaire to invite Jordan to be part of her team for the annual, 48 Hour Film Project. It was there that they realized they had the same eyes and began plotting for feature length films, more 48 hour film projects, a mini series based on one of those projects, and most impressively, perhaps most importantly, a podcast.
They mulled over the concept and the ideas for a whole year, at least! Writing terrific sketches, deciding on ridiculous segments to give life, talking about movies, cracking jokes, all the best things! Finally, after much deliberation, Gruesome Ventures with Curlz & the Vamp, was born. After 4 episodes, it came to a bit of a halt. We won’t get into it, but they’re looking for a producer (take it as a hint).
Anyway, since then, they’ve gone on to hosting red carpet events at the Fleur Cinema in Des Moines, IA, to continue the Curlz & the Vamp history in the making. There’s multiple live events like you’ve never seen every year! With both a Lana Del Rey AND Billie Eilish tribute show, not to mention(the favorite), CANDY. A live, immersive, ghost story with live performances every October, directed and edited by the dream team themselves! They have one feature film under their belt, a 48hr horror win, two sketches, that’s right. TWO sketches! But, wait! There’s more! To come. With two movies in the beginning stages and more live shows scheduled, they offer to bring their talents to you to make enticing and alluring videos for your brand, company, or personal project!

We’ve managed to compartmentalize our creative chaos into a few digestible categories. Think of them as the various limbs of our multi-headed creative beast, all working in harmony.

When we’re not busy on set or lurking in dark corners, we’re likely in a padded room (or, you know, a recording studio) crafting episodes of Curlz & The Vamp. It’s our auditory playground where we delve into all things bizarre, hilarious, and occasionally, surprisingly insightful. Expect rambling anecdotes, questionable movie reviews, and enough unsolicited advice to fill a small library. We promise it’s more entertaining than that awkward silence you’re currently experiencing.
